Secure Fence

Fence Mounted and Taut Wire

The main feature of these types of system is that they are simple to install and unobtrusive.

They follow the shape and contours of irregular fence lines and are not constrained to "line of sight" applications. This makes them ideal for irregular shaped sites.

This means that they do, usually, require a specific physical barrier such as a wall or fence, although the Taut Wire systems can form their own physical barrier

It is essential that they work on many different types of structure such as chain link, welded mesh and palisade fencing. The Taut Wire systems must also have a free-standing capability

We have different systems available to suit different applications:

Micophonic Cable

Taut Wire

CPS Plus uses a thin co-axial cable that is clipped to the fence structure that can detect all of the typical mechanical disturbances produced during an attempt to cut or climb the fence.

These disturbances produce small deformations in the microphonic cable, which, by a piezoelectric effect, generates an electric signal. The analyser processes the electric signal present on the cable continuously and when this signal passes a series of preset thresholds can generate an alarm indication.

The system uses the Multiplex2000 management system to provide comprehensive parameter setting, performance monitoring and alarm interfacing facilities.

TPS is an advanced taut wire fence system that incorporates a physical detection system into the structure of a barbed wire fence.

The system comprises a series of strands of barbed wire supported on fence posts to form a physical barrier along the perimeter. The fence can be stand alone or fitted alongside an existing fence structure.

At regular intervals a special sensor post is incorporated that can detect movements in the strands of barbed wire, caused by cutting or forcing apart the strands. Any such movement will create an alarm.

It can be incorporated into a Multiplex2000 management system.

Sensitive Wire

WPS uses the ELCOS cable that has a particular electrical characteristic which changes in a way that is directly proportional to a physical deformation of the cable.
Cutting or altering its quiescent physical state, typically by displacing it in an attempt to enter the protected area, will cause structural changes within the cable which are filtered and analysed by a powerful micro-processor unit which compares it to a number of pre-set parameters.

This can also be incorporated into a Multiplex2000 management system.
